Hi, I'm Javi.

In 2019, I founded and currently run Slytex, a creative studio where I help early-stage founders with product design, branding, and storytelling.

At Slytex, I lead product design end to end — from research and user testing through UI/UX and design systems — for startups building software from scratch. Recent work includes SignHop, Orbie, and Reamp.

I've also worked as a fractional product designer with early-stage teams like Firstbase, Fortitude, Spinamp, and Seam, where I focused on v1 screens and the core systems that hold a product together as it scales.

Prior to Slytex, I helped lead design & marketing at Kushner and partnerships at SHOWFIELDS. I was briefly a retail advisor at Warby Parker and helped open the Rockefeller Center location in 2017.

I was born in Bogotá, grew up in South Florida, and currently live in New York City. I enjoy cycling around Prospect Park, meditating with Calm, and listening to Founders Podcast.
